This month, our cheesemongers invite you to set off for Occitanie, a region full of character where the landscapes alternate between wild limestone plateaus, sun-drenched valleys and the scents of the garrigue. It is in this bountiful region, where goats roam freely amidst rich, fragrant flora, that some of the finest <\/span>farmhouse cheeses from France.<\/p>\n Among these treasures, the Mej\u2019Lavande \u2013 also known as M\u00e9j\u2019O Lavande \u2013 stands out: a delicate farmhouse speciality made from raw whole goat\u2019s milk in the Lot department. True to the <\/span>traditional craftsmanship, each cheese is moulded by hand and takes on its characteristic quenelle shape, a symbol of authentic production.<\/p>\n What makes it unique is a touch that is as delicate as it is elegant: a lavender floral water from Quercy, subtly blended in. Far from masking the flavours of the goat\u2019s milk, it enhances them by adding a <\/span>a light, perfectly balanced floral note.<\/p>\n Beneath its natural crust lies a soft, creamy and melt-in-the-mouth centre, which reveals a remarkably smooth texture.
