The Pretzel: A Luxembourg tradition

Feb 22, 2024

Luxembourg tradition dictates that on the 4th Sunday of Lent, the man offers a pretzel as a token of love to the woman. If his proposal is accepted, the woman will, in return, offer him an Easter egg on Easter Sunday.

But beware: this chronological sequence only applies to common years.

Since 2024 is a leap year, it’s quite the opposite: this time it’s up to the ladies to take the initiative and offer a Pretzel to their chosen one.

Be aware that forgetting could potentially lead to serious relational consequences!

Kaempff-Kohler comes to your rescue with its delicious range of Pretzels:

The plain sweet pretzel 150g for €4.70 / 300g for €9.10 / 500g for €15.10 (March 9 and 10 only)

The hazelnut-filled pretzel 150g for €5.30 / 300g for €10.40 / 500g for €17.20 (March 9 and 10 only)

For savory lovers, we also offer a pretzel au gratin with delicious Swiss cave Gruyère, aged in caves for at least 12 months, which gives it its deep and rustic taste (€3.20 for a 150g pretzel).
