In the heart of the city, between Knuedler and Plëss, you’ll discover a culinary oasis to savor timeless taste: the restaurant of the traditional Kaempff-Kohler house.
Christophe, our chef, bases his cuisine on fresh, seasonal products.
Salads are served with chicken, Luxembourgish bacon, warm goat’s cheese in tempura, or as a Buddha bowl. The must-try dishes take you on a journey either through Luxembourg’s terroir, with our bouchée à la reine, Bouneschlupp, marinated herring fillets, and of course the house’s signature dish, the famous Riesling pâté, or to Italy with our two lasagnas—traditional and vegetarian—or to the high seas with our duo of gray shrimp and cheese croquettes.
Our suggestions revolve around Kniddelen with bacon, Liège-style meatballs, Luxembourgish rump steak, knife-cut Luxembourgish beef tartare, sauerkraut dish, salmon steak, not to mention our burgers (including a vegetarian option) and seasonal game dishes like venison or braised wild boar in red wine.
Our tartes flambées — traditional, three cheese, vegetarian, Norwegian, or Savoyarde — are served with a mesclun salad.
We’ve also planned a menu for young gourmets: lasagna, minced beef steak, or chicken strips will surely please their developing palates.
See you soon at our Kaempff-Kohler restaurant, 10, rue du Curé in Luxembourg City!
