Crafted from Ribolla Gialla and Chardonnay grapes grown in the lush soils of the picturesque green hills of Goriška Brda in Slovenia, basking in the warmth of the sun and cooled by refreshing alpine breezes, this wine ages for 12 to 24 months… under the sea.

Inspired by the ancestral practice of chilling beverages in the streams of the Goriška Brda vineyards—where forgotten bottles yielded surprisingly exquisite wines—visionary Slovenian winemaker Igor Tomažič embarked on this bold immersion adventure: he simply submerges his creations into the embrace of the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea.

Timing is critical, with the optimal diving season spanning October to April, depending on the sea’s moods and weather conditions. This aquatic ballet requires synchronized teamwork, led by an experienced diver anchoring the process, ensuring these moss-covered treasures are securely fixed to the seabed.

The seabed remains undisturbed thanks to innovative box supports that allow the containers to float in harmony with the natural habitat, fostering mussel breeding grounds.

Submerged 30 meters deep, this unique sparkling wine thrives in the distinct environment of dynamic marine currents and the sea’s year-round constant temperature. The absorption of unique minerals through the cork imparts an unparalleled flavor.
