Kaempff-Kohler cheese shop
And to finish, a little cheese…
The appeal of a cheese platter at the end of a meal is manifold: it rounds off the meal on a gourmet, convivial note, it brings a feeling of fullness and it closes the stomach, according to the medieval theory of humours.
At the Kaempff-Kohler cheese shop, you have just one dilemma: choosing from the dozens of varieties on offer in our wide selection.
To make things easier for you, our cheesemonger has put together beautiful platters that you’ll find on our year-end festive menu

Starting with the noble “Truffle Platter”, brunch style:
it includes truffled Olivade, truffled Machecoulais, truffled Petit Grès d’Alsace, Koch Trufalo and our homemade truffled Brie.
The “Gourmet Platter” features Dôme à la figue, Vaudoise châtaigne, Petit Grès Champagne, Stilton and Swiss 8 Blumen.
You’ll find 5 cheese families on the platter of the same name: Chabichou, Camembert de Normandie, farmhouse Munster, Roquefort and exceptional Comté.
All these variations are designed for 4 to 6 people.
And finally, there’s the “Royal Platter” for 10 to 12 people with Poudre d’or, Claousou, Explorateur aux épices de Noël, Fourme au Sauternes, Époisses de Bourgogne, farmhouse Saint-Nectaire, Corsican Tomme with Pietra beer and farmhouse Abondance from Savoie.
For enthusiasts who value togetherness and the warm atmosphere of long winter evenings, our Swiss or French raclette platters, accompanied by our selection of cured meats and a good Luxembourg potato, are perfect for serving a complete meal.
In the same range, the half-and-half Swiss fondue, made with Swiss Gruyère and Fribourg Vacherin, is also very popular.
A cheese platter is a great way to extend the meal and the conversation; raclette and fondue are hard to beat for indulgence and conviviality – on sale at the Kaempff-Kohler cheese shop in the city centre.
