Carnival 2026
Kaempff-Kohler treats you with its twisted pastries
Carnival! In Germany, revelers even consider it the fifth season.
No wonder that during this crazy time, our pastry chefs lose their bearings a bit and twist their arms and hands to create a specialty that Luxembourgers call “Verwurrelter”: the typical confused and twisted knots, with a vanilla-lemon and rum flavor, or simply as brioche, made from fresh yeast dough.
This delicacy is dusted with powdered sugar — a true little guilty pleasure, tolerated a few weeks before the abstinence of Lent.
The “Verwurrelter” will be joined on the shelves by Berliner doughnuts: soft fried yeast dough balls, filled with chocolate hazelnut, another seasonal pastry treat.
The best carnival pastries are at Kaempff-Kohler: “Verwurrelter” and doughnuts, available now in the pastry section of our shops and on the dessert menu of our restaurants.
