A sweet little treat for the “Trounwiessel”

Sep 30, 2025

On October 3, Grand Duke Henri, our current monarch, will hand over the throne to his son, Prince Guillaume, who will become the new Grand Duke.

This historic event is marked by numerous official ceremonies and public festivities, shows and concerts.

The transition of power is a major national event. This succession embodies both the continuity of the monarchical tradition and the arrival of a new generation at the head of the country.

Kaempff-Kohler, Purveyor to the Court for many years, is joining in the festivities by creating a sweet little treat: the “Trounwiessel” chocolate bar.

For the occasion, our chocolatiers selected an excellent 68% dark chocolate, made from Ghanaian beans and conched in Switzerland.

This delicacy will be adorned with an edible film featuring the great symbols of Luxembourg’s essence: the Gëlle Fra, the Grand Ducal Palace and the monument to King William II.

👉 The date is set to come welcome the new Grand Duke, thank the former one, by stopping by one of the Kaempff-Kohler boutiques to enjoy the special chocolate created for the change of throne.
