Plantin Truffles
The truffle is the luxurious and traditional ingredient that sublimates the festive table. It pairs perfectly with dishes such as foie gras, eggs, pasta, and meats, either shaved into thin slices or infused into creams to enhance its complex aromas.
For Kaempff-Kohler, the benchmark for truffles is Maison Plantin, founded in 1930 by Marcel Plantin in Provence, in Puyméras, near Nyons. Over time, this company has established itself as a truffle supplier to the finest restaurants.
Among fresh truffles, the black truffle (Tuber melanosporum), the most iconic of truffles, the “Black Diamond”, is by far the most appreciated by gourmets, with its unmistakable fragrance. It is the source of renown for Plantin, which sources primarily from the truffle markets of Drôme and Vaucluse, as well as from Australia during the summer season.
