In Luxembourg, it is customary for men to traditionally offer their partner a very special pastry delight as a token of their feelings: a sweet pretzel! If the feeling is mutual, they receive a chocolate egg in return on Easter Sunday.
At Kaempff-Kohler, this Luxembourgish pastry specialty is a handcrafted product, made from flaky leavened dough, covered with a layer of fondant sugar and almonds, filled or not. Its shape symbolizes the intertwined arms of two lovers.
