National Day 2026
Kaempff-Kohler – “E Stéck Lëtzebuerger Gastronomie”
Today: pastry
Today, on the eve of our National Day, we invite you into our pastry shop to discover a few wonderful homemade Luxembourgish sweet recipes.
The Dacquois is not, strictly speaking, a Luxembourgish invention, but since its beginnings in 1922, Kaempff-Kohler has been delighting food lovers with this pastry marvel, halfway between a meringue and a macaron. Made up of two or three discs of almond meringue, separated by layers of buttercream and dusted with icing sugar, the Dacquois is today more popular in Luxembourg than beyond our borders.
You can also find the “Made in Luxembourg” and “Fait Maison” labels on our bags of mendiants, rochers and sablés, as well as on our boxes of petits fours and ballotins of pralines.
All these gourmet delights are made with passion in our pastry workshops in Niederanven, using carefully selected ingredients and, whenever possible, giving preference to Luxembourgish suppliers. An approach that fully reflects the commitment of the Kaempff-Kohler House to local know-how and artisanal quality.
We wish you a wonderful National Day, under the sign of sharing, indulgence and the authentic flavours of Luxembourg. 🇱🇺✨
