Breakk: Lasagne al Forno

Lasagne al Forno

Aren’t lasagne Italian? That’s quite a misconception, but it’s true that in Greek the word ‘laganon’ is used to describe a flat dough cut into strips. So it’s at most an inspiration, because true lasagne originated in south-central Italy. Ancient Romans already used sheets of pasta to make similar dishes.

The recipe is simple and has many variations.
Classic lasagne are made with Bolognese and béchamel sauces, baked au gratin.

To each their own recipe! The choice of ingredients that can be layered between the pasta sheets leaves room for imagination: vegetables, spinach, pesto, meat, fish, seafood… you’ll find all sorts.

At Kaempff-Kohler, we prepare them traditionally (Bolognese, minced beef, béchamel, Emmental cheese) or with vegetables (zucchini, peppers, eggplant, tomato sauce and béchamel, and Emmental for gratinating).

Simple and delicious.

This week, Italy comes to the BREAKK table – for Take Away or to enjoy on-site.
